The Maison & Objet International Design Fair, the central event of Paris Design Week, is considered one of the three most significant interior design events in Europe. The five-day fair attracts nearly 100,000 people each year, mostly resellers, manufacturers and distributors who come specifically to discover new brands.
Maison & Objet is an excellent opportunity for Hungarian designers to arouse the interest of foreign customers and thus establish their entry into the international market, Zsófia Bata-Jakab, CEO of the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency (HFDA) said.
This year’s exhibition is a particularly important opportunity for the agency. Hungarian talents can once again present themselves in person to international professionals in order to gain valuable relationships, she added.
According to the announcement of the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency (HFDA), 10 Hungarian designers have been selected by a professional jury to represent the Hungarian design furniture industry, interior design and lighting at the Maison & Objet trade fair in Paris.
Their 70-square-meter exhibition space highlights ingenious space-separating solutions this year, HFDA stated. There is also a virtual corner where visitors can get an insight into the digital spaces of the internationally awarded 360 Design Budapest exhibition with the help of VR glasses.
This autumn, HFDA will be focusing on fashion, design, inspiration and creativity as part of its own Fashion & Design Autumn series of events. Those interested in the creative industry can get to know Hungarian, V4 and international designers, as well as creative industry thinkers and experts.
