On February 22, a Guiness world record attempt for mass donut tasting will take place at the National Carnival Donut Festival in Nagykanizsa.
The Guinness record was first set at the same festival in 2013, which can now be broken if at least 1,200 visitors taste donuts at the same time.
The Donut Festival attracts thousands of visitors to Nagykanizsa annually, and will kick off on February 20 this year with a whole host of programs that extend through to the weekend.
The best works chosen in the annual Carnival Photo Contest will be displayed throughout the course of the event. A scientific conference called Devil’s Feast will also be held, where ethnographers report on how carnival traditions have changed since the 19th century.
The main attraction will be the downtown masquerade parade which takes place on the morning of Saturday, February 22, accompanied by an all-day entertainment program in Nagykanizsa, which includes the world record attempt.
