Wizz Air launches direct flights to Hurghada, Egypt

Hurghada, on Egypt’s Red Sea coast, will be accessible from Budapest via a direct Wizz Air flight every Saturday, with a flight time of four hours.

For unrestricted entry from Hungary to Egypt, Hungarian citizens must have an international vaccination certificate with a QR code or a negative PCR test no more than 72 hours old, including a QR code and an official medical stamp.

The Hungarian vaccination certificate can only be replaced by the negative PCR test if the traveler has received both doses of the vaccines approved by the WHO or the Egyptian Medicines Authority (Pfizer, Astra Zeneca, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, Sputnik, Sinopharm, and Sinovac) and at least 14 days have elapsed since the second dose or the first in the case of Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine.

Unvaccinated minors aged between 6 and 18 are allowed to enter Egypt on the presentation of a negative PCR test no more than 72 hours old, while children under 6 years of age are free to enter the country.

Wizz Air flights to the Egyptian resort city will depart every Saturday starting December 18, 2021. Passengers can find the latest entry conditions on the Wizz Air website, under the Travel Planner Map menu.

The wearing of a mask covering the nose and mouth remains compulsory for the entire duration of the flight.
