Wine Spectator awards four Hungarian restaurants’ wine lists this year
For the first time, Wine Spectator has awarded four Hungarian restaurant wine lists.
The American wine magazine Wine Spectator has published its Restaurant Award list every year for decades. The list, like the Michelin stars, honors the world’s most exciting wine lists on three levels, with one (Award of Excellence), two (Best of Award of Excellence) and three (Grand Award) glasses.
The Felix Kitchen & Bar in Budapest first won the single-glass award two years ago and retained it last year. Now, the restaurant’s wine list has been awarded two glasses by Wine Spectator.
Avalon Ristorante and Vino Salone, part of the Avalon Park Hotel in Miskolctapolca, has been included in Wine Spectator’s list for the first time, immediately earning a two-glass rating.
For the first time, the American magazine has also awarded a glass to the restaurant Arany Kaviár in Budapest.
For the second time since last year, Winescape Budapest, run by the staff of Borigo wine magazine, has been awarded a single-glass rating.
