Voting opens for Central European Startup Awards

Public voting has opened for the Central European Startup Awards where winners will be decided at the Grand Finale in Bucharest on November 21st.

The Central European Startup Awards aims to find and connect innovation in 10 countries across the region. The initiative is being organized for the sixth year and not only for startups, but also for investors, community agencies, enterprise accelerator programs, and many other players in the startup ecosystem.

In the first round of voting, Recart, a startup streamlining the customer journey, won the prestigious Startup of the Year Award. The list of companies fortunate enough to make it to the second round of the competition was announced at a gala held on Monday, September 30th.

Other winners included Trustchain, a company providing safer checkouts, which earned the title of the Best Newcomer, while the OTP Startup Program came first in the category of the Best Accelerator or Incubator Program.

Others include Neticle, a company popularizing AI in the Hungarian market, Brokerchooser, which received the title of Best Fintech Startup, and Haris Digital Engineering, announced as the Best IoT Startup.

However, these prizes were only part of the first round of the award series. In the next stage, the Hungarian companies will be ranked against their international counterparts. The winners will be announced in Bucharest on November 21st, and will receive generous mentorship and networking opportunities, alongside a prize fund helping the businesses to evolve further.
