The mission of the HealthInnovator Program is to support innovative Hungarian healthcare companies to increase their export activities.
Hiventures, part of the MFB Group, is participating in the program organized by the Startup Campus Incubator as a capital financier, with an investment of EUR 940,000.
The course assists Hungarian healthcare startups with a proven acceleration methodology, as well as a global network of experts. In the end, teams can present their projects in front of Hiventures. The HealthInnovator Program aims to support five top-quality healthcare startups with an initial investment of EUR 58,000 and additional funding totaling EUR 130,000.
Olivér Csendes, former head of the innovation agency Startup300 and Pioneers, now listed on the Austrian Stock Exchange, has joined the program as a director.
Due to its size, the Hungarian market can be at most a test market and the first stage of validation for entrepreneurs looking to go global. However, the need to enter the international market early makes things difficult for domestic founders. The HealthInnovator Program is designed to overcome this difficulty by placing companies in an international environment with world-class mentors, thus increasing their ability to export. With a total investment budget of EUR 940,000, the program will support spin-off companies or startups that are already working on a research-validated solution, Olivér Csendes said.
The program is looking for Hungarian startups with a validated idea or prototype in the seed phase, companies that are dealing with digital healthcare solutions, patient-centered innovations or even innovations in the field of public health and hospital management.
Those interested can apply until July 30 on www.startupcampus.hu/hip.
