In September, the average gross earnings of full-time employees were HUF 428,100 and the average net earnings were HUF 284,700, both 9.1 percent higher than a year earlier, the Hungarian Central Statistical Office said.
Gross earnings rose by 8.0 percent in the business sector and by 9.4 percent in the public administration sector.
Average net earnings reached HUF 284 700 without benefits and HUF 293 400 including benefits. Gross average earnings and net average earnings excluding benefits both increased by 9.1 percent.
Average gross regular earnings (excluding bonuses, allowances and one-month special benefits) were estimated at HUF 406 800, 9.0 percent higher than a year earlier.
Median gross earnings were HUF 349 300, 8.8 percent higher than a year earlier.
Average gross earnings reached HUF 440,900 in the business sector, HUF 402,900 in the public administration sector, and HUF 391,400 in the non-profit sector, representing increases of 7.8, 9.6 and 11.4 percent, respectively, compared to the same period last year.
Average gross earnings were highest in financial and insurance activities (HUF 746,900) and lowest in accommodation and food services (HUF 261,200).
