MNB will open the Hungarian Money Museum and Visitor Center on March 15, 2022, in the building of the former Postal Palace at Széll Kálmán Square in Budapest. The former Postal Palace was built in 1924 per the plans of Gyula Sándy and was the first office building in the country, MNB wrote.
According to the announcement, the MNB’s main goal is to make the development of financial culture accessible to all segments of society, both children and adults.
Visitors to the Money Museum will be able to explore the world of money in an experiential and interactive way.
The museum houses 58 impressive installations and almost 2,000 works of art. Visitors will also be able to collect virtual “assets” and exchange them for a gift upon leaving.
