The future is Hungarian, high-tech and green

To stay competitive, the Hungarian Government supports companies rising to the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution, Industry 4.0.

Minister of Innovation and Technology László Palkovics highlighted that the application of modern knowledge is the key to competitiveness and companies must adapt to Industry 4.0. He was speaking at the Miskolc factory of automotive supplier Sega (Starters E-Components Generators Automotive Hungary Kft.), which recently completed its 75 millionth starter motor.

The minister further noted that the future is Hungarian, high-tech and green.

In the field of industrial production, digital production chains are now in operation and cyber-physical systems are being created (where the work of machines and people complement each other), and robotics and automation are spreading at a rapid pace.

Palkovics also spoke about the government’s determined efforts to create more new, high-value-added jobs in the future.

The minister pointed out that Sega Group is one of the largest employers in the region; its factory in Miskolc, the company’s biggest in Europe, has been operating for more than 15 years and operates the region’s largest logistics center in Miskolc as well. In the coming years, the company will contribute to the development of the city through further innovative investments and construction.

The Hungarian Government seeks alliances with strategic partners such as Sega to create breakthrough innovations in high-tech production.
