The best chefs will come to Debrecen in July
The Debrecziner Gourmet Festival will take place for the sixth time July 1-3 in the Great Forest.
On the first weekend of July, the country’s top restaurants and chefs will gather in Debrecen to display the best gastronomy Hungary has to offer, the event’s social media page announced.
In addition to the Stílusos Vidéki Éttermiség (the Association of Stylistic Countryside Restaurants) and the best restaurants in Debrecen, star chefs and restaurants from Budapest will be among the guest exhibitors from July 1 to July 3.
Whether they are fine-dining restaurants, bistros, or food trucks, Hungary’s talent are constantly looking for new ways to creatively prepare their dishes.
“We think it is important to show the whole region the gastronomic specialities that our country has to offer, as this weekend visitors can wander on the gastronomic map from Balaton to Eger, from Palkonya to Budapest. We are doing all of this at affordable ticket prices in order to make this genre of culture as accessible as possible,” said Réka Mészáros, the event’s chief organizer and managing director of Főnix Rendezvényszervező Közhasznú Nonprofit Kft.
The three-day event will feature a wide array of savory dishes and unique ingredient pairings alongside craft beers, quality wines, and exciting cocktails.
The Debrecziner Gourmet Award, established in 2018, will be awarded to the best exhibitor based on the votes of guests attending the event.
