Talented young developers work on agricultural solutions

The NAK TechLab incubation program, which links agricultural start-ups and large companies, has been launched by the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK).

The main aim of the program is to help the largest agricultural companies, together with young Hungarian startups, develop new and innovative digital solutions that can be quickly and widely adopted by Hungarian farmers and integrated into their daily practices.

The NAK TechLab’s corporate partners — Axiál Kft, Claas Hungária Kft, Bonafarm Group and Hungrana Kft — have started discussions and joint work with several startup teams.

Balázs Győrffy, President of the National Chamber of Agriculture, said that the current global situation makes it clear to everyone that the use of digital solutions is the key to survival. The NAK is interested in providing farmers with as many new solutions as possible to cope with the ever-faster changing circumstances.

In this joint effort, startups are tasked with delivering the most modern technological knowledge and solutions to large companies that are in continuous business and professional contact with farmers and provide them with inputs and services. As a result, innovation is able to spread rapidly, which can be of real help to NAK members on a market basis.

The co-development between large companies and startups is complemented by NAK’s agronomic expertise and the support of Design Terminal’s business mentors. On the technology side, Vodafone Hungary will support the teams to be able to develop in the most efficient way in the agricultural field.

The results and future plans of the three-month program will be presented to a wider audience at the Agtech Summit on 24 November 24, 2022.
