State-sponsored basic IT courses to start in October
Starting this October 1, graduates of the Redesign program can sign up for basic IT courses to further their careers in a particular field.
Those who successfully completed the Újratervezés (“Redesign”) program can choose further training to be a Java programmer, frontend developer, or tester/operator, the state secretary at the Ministry of Innovation and Technology said at a press conference in Budapest on Monday.
György László, the state secretary responsible for economic strategy and regulation at the ministry, added that four training places — CodeCool Kft., Green Fox Academy Kft., QTC Kft., and Training 360 Kft. — will be holding the training.
László also said that participants can apply for a student loan to cover their living expenses for the duration of the training; this loan can have a minimum value of HUF 100,000 and a maximum value of HUF 1.2 million.
He recalled that 61,977 people applied for the Újratervezés (“Redesign”) program launched on May 25 as part of the Hungarian government’s economic protection action plan, and out of these, 8,871 successfully passed the final examination.
