The total budget of the program is HUF 25 billion, meant for the purpose of relaunching the economy, said László György, state secretary for Economic Strategy at the Ministry of Innovation and Technology.
Companies with up to 10 employees and in operation for at least a year can apply for an EU-based tender. The government is also helping micro-enterprises by letting companies account for the costs of the tender, György noted.
Businesses in any field can apply for support, and the state will provide 70 percent of the investment costs, the secretary of state added.
According to László György, it is particularly difficult for the enterprise-development institutional system to reach the micro-enterprises of small settlements. According to him, if the program is successful and the second and third phases also take place, 10,000-15,000 companies will receive investment support.
