Rural companies, which produce internationally competitive products, have an indispensable role in relaunching the economy, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said at the presentation of the support document for Nass Magnet Hungária Kft. in Veszprém.
Szijjártó said that thanks to the efforts of the last 11 years, the rural economy is on a strong footing and can take its share of the rapid restart of the Hungarian economy.
He added that the task now is to restart the Hungarian economy within Europe as quickly as possible to help achieve 5.5 percent economic growth.
The minister stressed the need to be a winner in the new era of competition in order to attract new investments and create jobs.
Péter Szijjártó said that many of the rural companies were brave enough to not downsize during the pandemic but instead invest in further development. Nass Magnet Hungária Kft. in Veszprém preserved 367 jobs by investing HUF 450 million. The government provided HUF 225 million in support for this, he added.
The minister announced that a total of 48 investments were made in Veszprém County alone. A total of 12,000 jobs were protected with investments totaling HUF 50 billion, for which the government provided HUF 18 billion in support, Péter Szijjártó confirmed.
