Paris Courtyard in Budapest awarded again

The building in Budapest has already won numerous awards but now adds the Hungarian Real Estate award to its list of recognitions.

Paris Courtyard (Párisi Udvar) won an audience award in the Architecture and Preservation category in August and now the first prize of the 22nd Hungarian Real Estate Development Award Competition

The reconstruction of the Párisi Udvar Hotel Budapest building not only won the overall grand prize but also took first place in the Heritage Protection and Hotel categories. The hotel thus won the right to participate in the international round of the competition.

The Párisi Udvar Hotel Budapest, operated by Mellow Mood Hotels, is a member of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, an American Hyatt hotel chain. The building reopened in May 2019 after standing empty for decades.

Archikon Architects was responsible for the design, and Market Építő Zrt. worked on the renovation for four and a half years. A total of 85,000 hours were spent renovating what is one of Europe’s largest ceramic-clad buildings.

The Paris Courtyard has won a total of 41 competitions now, giving it the right to take part in the international FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence competition.
