Over 80 percent of new railway ticket machines already in operation

The installation of new ticket vending machines on Hungarian railways started last autumn.

A total of 324 of the 375 new ticket vending machines ordered by the Hungarian railway company, MÁV are already in operation. The rest are expected to be ready by the end of the year, MÁV-Start told MTI.

The railway company started installing new ticket vending machines last autumn.

Of the 375 new ticket vending machines ordered, 275 are for card and cash payments, while 100 are for credit card payments only.

MÁV-Start emphasizes that around 500 ticket machines throughout the country will provide millions of passengers with even more convenient access to tickets and season tickets every year.
