This will be the fourth OTP Startup Partner Program this year and will be OTP’s most “open” and extensive program yet, since, in addition to domestic parties, all of OTP Group’s foreign subsidiaries are also looking for startup partners to support their business objectives.
Applicants will thus have the opportunity to implement pilot projects in 12 countries in the Central and Eastern European region, from Slovenia to Russia. The program particularly encourages applications from startups with female leaders and diverse founding teams.
The program is based on collaboration: Banking experts and mentors will offer support to selected startups — from topic definition to final implementation of a jointly developed solution. The companies participating in the program can participate in several events that help guide them in international relations, plus selected groups get to present in front of well-known domestic and international companies, thus expanding their business development opportunities.
Startups can apply for the OTP Startup Partner Program in the following six categories:
- Sophisticated data analysis solutions
- Customer experience and customer service
- Internal efficiency
- Product-specific innovations related to retail banking
- Product-specific innovations related to corporate banking
- Innovative and disruptive solutions related to the banking sector that do not fall into the above categories
After completing the online application form, suitable applicants will be invited for an online interview; the best teams then get to attend a two-day “Selection Days” event, to be held online in early December. On Demo Day, the most promising startups will have the opportunity to present the results of their test projects, developed jointly with the bank, to OTP Group’s management, investors and representatives of several domestic and international partners.
Selected companies then get the opportunity to develop their idea within OTP Group and will receive priority support in the first six months.
