As one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies, the Swiss-based Novartis places a strong emphasis on science-based innovation to address the most socially challenging health issues today. The company has already discovered and developed a number of breakthrough treatments, and it is working tirelessly to get them to reach as many people as possible.
In line with this, Novartis is now looking primarily for digital solutions to two challenges: (1) to reduce the administrative burden of doctor-patient appointments and (2) to facilitate early detection of multiple sclerosis (MS).
The winning team can cooperate with Novartis on the implementation of the project, receive media coverage worth HUF 3 million, and get an investment opportunity from MFB Group’s Hiventures as part of an accelerated procedure.
The six finalists selected during the pre-judging will be able to present their project to the jury at the Digital Health Summit conference on September 30. Each 8-minute presentation will be followed by jury questions and then an evaluation, with the winner being the team with the highest score.
The members of the jury are Ottó Albrecht (CEO of Cashline Investments), Sándor Varga-Tarr (Investment Director of Hiventures Incubation Investment Program), Krisztián Kölkedi (Head of the National Office for Research, Development and Innovation, NKFIH), and Tamás Rákóczi (Novartis Digital Lead).
Submissions are welcome to the Digital Health Startup Contest until September 12.
