Hajós Baroque Castle has reopened following a HUF 180 million renovation project by the TOP Program.
Hajós council hopes the project will enhance local and international tourism, making the heritage sight more attractive to people from across the country and beyond.
The Baroque-style castle, its unique cellar-level, the folklore museum and the local church are just some of the attractions the program has benefited.
The town of Hajós has a unique architecture that’s unparalleled in the whole of Europe. Drawing on folklore traditions, the town comprises of a set of underground, chamber-like houses built under the ground.
The new visitor complex opened on September 21st.
