The thematic hotel will be built in Tokaj on an area of almost 10 hectares, on the site of a former mine, as a joint development between Richard Szepesi, who has significant experience in the Hungarian hotel market, and Appeninn Plc.
The cornerstone of the hotel was laid in March, and the construction of the hotel is progressing according to plan, investors said.
The primary goal of the developers is to make the project stand out from other thematic hotels in the region. It will provide high-quality, adult-friendly accommodation all year long, alongside gastronomic and special wine offers from the Tokaj region.
The unique hotel will greatly increase the supply of quality accommodation in the northern region of Hungary and will also contribute to boosting the economic situation of the area, according to the investors’ statement.
The construction of the hotel has the potential to create up to 100 new jobs.
The development of the five-star hotel falls within the framework of the Kisfaludy Accommodation Development Construction and is being implemented with tender support of almost HUF 3.5 billion.
The appearance of the hotel will combine “Tokaj liquid gold” with the “Eldorado” theme, evoking a South American atmosphere. Its industrial exterior appearance will be combined with an exotic, warm interior design.
The conceptual design for the entire complex was prepared by Singer Design Kft.
