The company’s developments initiated in 2017 in Szántód and Tokaj, and expected to be handed over in 2022, include a thematic hotel, adventure park and tourist center; further developments in Hungary include the renovation of the Lepence bath in Visegrád and the development of the luxury port and hotel in Balatonfüred.
With these investments and recent acquisitions, Appeninn aims to strengthen its position in the domestic tourist real estate market. “We are taking our presence in the tourism market to a new level,” said Tamás Bernáth CEO, adding that “the investments will significantly expand Hungary’s tourism offer by creating unique thematic hotels, which will also contribute to the recovery of the economic situation and employment indicators of the affected settlements following the coronavirus epidemic.”
He also mentioned that the 109-room, five-star, colonial-style family hotel is already under construction in Szántód, and the construction of the BalaLand theme park, which will be based on the novel Around the World in 80 Days, will soon begin. In Tokaj, in the area of the Csurgó Valley mine, the construction of a five-star, 100-room hotel with an atmosphere aimed primarily at adult guests began in the spring, and the construction of a gastronomic area and tourist center next to the hotel will also start soon.
