On August 10, a new airline will launch a flight from Budapest’s Liszt Ferenc International Airport; Luxair will travel to Luxembourg twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, during the summer season.
The capital of Luxembourg has been a popular destination so far, with typically business and family travelers taking advantage of the existing air connection. However, Luxair’s new flight is ideal for both short trips and longer stays. The location of Luxembourg Airport is also very favorable, as the city center can be reached by public transport in just half an hour.
The capital, which bears the same name as the country, is located in the southern part of the country, along the Alzette River, and is known for its beautiful architecture and panorama views. The old town and the Luxembourg fortification system are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and visitors can also enjoy cycling along the riverbank.
Kam Jandu, Commercial Director of Budapest Airport said, “It is a great pleasure for us, especially after the events of recent months, to welcome a new airline in Budapest again. Our flight development team is constantly working to provide passengers with the widest possible range of destinations again in a short time.”
