Müpa Winter Open Air opens this year on November 30

Adults and children are invited to enjoy “endless winter experiences

People, young and old, can enjoy ice skating on the 350-square-meter ice rink, complete with background music and a food/drink bar. The rink will be open from December 1, 2019, to February 2, 2020.

From November 30 to January 5, there will be a number of activities and concerts under the Müpa Tent, just adjacent to the Müpa cultural center in Budapest.

The Recirquel Contemporary Circus Company will hold 28 shows (between December 14 and January 5) of Kristály, its “contemporary circus fairy tale.” And weekday mornings will feature holiday puppet shows and concerts for the kids, with presentations ranging from a Grimm classic to the story of the birth of Jesus.

The Concert of Bethlehem is sure to be a hit with all generations, as it will be performed by the well-known (and 50-year-old) Kaláka Ensemble. Plus, there will even be some programs involving environmental lessons as well.

Adults will be able to take in folk songs with Szilvia Bognár, who will also be sure to include some appropriate tunes for the season of Advent. And the Benkó Dixieland Band will be back at Müpa with a proper rendition of a Dixieland Christmas.
