Madame Tussauds is coming to Budapest with a permanent exhibition

The attraction will open in early 2022 in the heart of Budapest.

Madame Tussauds will be located in 2,000 square meters right near Vörösmarty Square and will be the first to be a fully franchised construction, based on the agreement between Merlin Entertainments (rights owner) and Dorottya Experience Kft., which implements tourism developments.

The partners hope that the attraction, which will line up both international and Hungarian personalities in an interactive environment, will also play an important role in the resumption of domestic tourism after the coronavirus epidemic.

The Budapest venue will also feature a number of Hungarian-related historical figures in a section of the exhibition set up for this purpose.

A key goal is for visitors, especially young people, to get to know Hungarian culture and outstanding figures in the history of our nation in a direct and interactive way. The selection of the people to be presented was preceded by extensive market research and consultations, Dorottya Experience Kft. announced.

The attraction is being implemented with the support of the Kisfaludy program of the Hungarian Tourism Agency.
