Increased surveillance and checks will take place until the end of January.

In order to “maintain public order and public safety, prevent acts or incidents that threaten public safety and further improve traffic safety,” checks will be carried out on arrivals at Liszt Ferenc International Airport, as well as on employees working at the airport and on vehicles, the statement said.

It was stressed that “RRI pays special attention to enhancing the sense of security of passengers and visitors, preventing unlawful acts, ensuring the swift and civilized travel of citizens, and preventing and interrupting offenses and crimes against property.”

The RRI also has the task of “reducing and suppressing property offenses by carrying out property protection checks,” the police statement said.
