Balázs Rákossy, State Secretary for European Union Funds at the Ministry of Finance, has announced that applications for the New Apprenticeship Program can now be submitted.
The tender will have a budget of HUF 10 billion and falls under the Operational Program for Economic Development and Innovation (GINOP).
Like an earlier tender, this is part of the government’s Youth Guarantee scheme. Simplified cost accounting will enable youth leaving vocational training to obtain work experience and efficiently use available support. Businesses will receive payroll and contribution support for apprentices (up to six people) and as a company intern (up to one person for two trainees) for six months. A company can also use the support for one person to assist with work if employing a trainee with a disability. Simplified cost accounting is also available for workplaces to establish proper conditions for apprenticeships.
Rákossy stated that the program will provide funding for the employment of some 2,700 trainees.
