The Hungaricum Festival in Szeged has been awarded the title of “qualified festival” by the Hungarian Festival Association.
“We are proud of the recognition, which is a guarantee for the quality and content of the festival,” said Zoltán Elekes, the main organizer of the Hungaricum Festival. The certification was awarded for the third time in the last 12 years and the recognition stands for three years.
The Hungaricum Festival brings more than 60,000 visitors to Szeged every year. Its biggest attraction is its carefully selected products related to Hungarian culture.
From the artisans’ creations through to the home-made gastronomic products and grapes grown in the ancient Hungarian wine regions, everything comes to life in one place in Széchenyi Square. The festival is made even more colorful by accompanying events and acts.
The Hungarian Festival Association awarded certificates to 17 festivals earlier in November, including the famous Anna festival, well-known for its Anna ball in Balatonfüred, and the Ördögkatlan Festival celebrating all kinds of art every August.
