Hungarian winery named best wine producer in Europe
Szepsy winery from Mád has been voted the best in two categories at the Golden Vines Awards.
The Golden Vines Awards is one of the most exclusive wine competitions in the world. The prizes are given to the world’s top wine producers, voted for by leading members of the global industry; the voting is certified by auditors Deloitte.
Never before has there been a Hungarian nominee for one of the world’s most exclusive wine competitions.
The awards ceremony took place on October 16, 2022, in Florence, where the dinner was presented by Massimo Bottura, the chef with three Michelin stars at Osteria Francescana in Modena.
The Szepsy winery in Mád has been voted the best European wine producer of 2022, while István Szepsy was also inducted into the Golden Vines Hall of Fame.
