Hungarian sparkling wines succeed at the prestigious French world competition

At the 19th edition of the prestigious Effervescents du Monde, Hungarian brands brought home 4 gold medals.

490 sparkling wines from 20 countries competed in the Effervescents du Monde competition. The prestigious competition took place between November 30 and December 3 with an international jury of around 80 judges. The judges tasted the samples under very strict conditions at the Château de Pierreclos in Burgundy, France.

 A total of 52 gold and 108 silver medals were won, including 4 gold medals by Hungarian competitors.

The Hungaria Rosé Extra Dry sparkling wine was among the best gold medal-winning sparkling wines for the third time (2019, 2020, 2021) and was also selected for the TOP10 selection. 

Garamvári Szőlőbirtok also came home with a gold medal for its Classic Selection – Extra Dry and Sentimental Sweet sparkling wines, while Törley Pezsgőpincészet was awarded a gold medal for its Chardonnay Brut.
