Hungarian medical technology start-ups present in Nuremberg

Three Hungarian medical technology innovators had the opportunity to introduce themselves at the MedtecLIVE conference in Nuremberg.

Owing to the collaborative work of Startup Campus Berlin, the Hungarian Consulate General in Munich, and the State Secretariat for Cultural and Science Diplomacy of Hungary, the chosen startups had their own stands and pitch presentations at the event.

The MedtecLIVE health conference welcomed 4,573 visitors from 50 countries, and it was attended by over 400 exhibitors, including three innovative Hungarian companies.

The main purpose of the event is to create a concentrated professional forum that is a combination of fairs and conferences. The concept proved successful, and the event shortly grew to become the second-largest professional meeting place in Europe, with a clear emphasis on developing international relations.

Pitch presentations and the EIT Health start-up competition

On the first day participants, including the three Hungarian start-up companies YourAanastomosis, HubScience, and Kinepict each held a five-minute pitch presentation. Kinepict was also chosen as a finalist in the EIT Health startup competition.

On the following day, Health Strategy Advisor Konrad Keresztes of the Hungarian Ministry for Innovation and Technology gave a presentation entitled “The Importance of the Health Industry in the Development of the Hungarian Economy”.

The event was sponsored by the Hungarian Consulate General in Munich, and was attended by Emőke Barabás, foreign trade attaché.
