The roadshow aims to promote Hungarian ingredients, food and wines as well as encourage tourism and get figures in the world of gastronomy to contribute to the venture.
At the events, key players in Hungarian and regional gastronomy will share their knowledge through lectures and round-table discussions. Meanwhile, stations during each program showcase regional flavors, with food and wine tasting in the company of professionals from the field.
This year’s first event will be held on July 21 at the Ikon restaurant in Debrecen, with the involvement of relevant participants from Debrecen, Hajdúszoboszló, Hortobágy and Lake Tisza — all priority development areas in Hungary.
Main topics will include the role of local producers in the hotel industry and festivals, the development of regional authentic food offerings and the effects of COVID-19.
Other planned locations of the 2020 gastro education roadshow are Tokaj, Felső-Tisza and Nyírség, Balaton and Budapest.
