The aim of the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency, which has launched the Hungarian Fashion Mentoring Program, is to create as many stable and successful Hungarian brands as possible through mentoring initiatives.
Homegrown professionals will develop budding designers through workshops and face-to-face meetings, and at the end of the program, the top performing brands will continue on a joint international mentoring program run by the Agency and Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana.
Mentors have been selected based on their professional standing, with their experience in various areas related to fashion and branding taken into account, and have a clear view of the strengths of the brands and areas for improvement. The final workshops will take place in March 2020, while the brands will develop areas such as fashion communications, product sales, branding and digital marketing.
The designers participating in the program include Kata Szegedi, Nini Molnar, The Four, DÜSK, Vecsei Millinery, Peter Mero, Gabriella Veszpremi, Anna Daubner, Alma Vetlenyi and ZIA – all talents who, after completing a mentoring program, will be able to further develop their business.
“In compiling the topics for the mentoring program, we have sought to address all the areas necessary for a brand to operate in a stable and successful manner on the domestic market,” said Zsófia Bata-Jakab, head of the Agency. “In addition, our important goal is to develop the Hungarian brands to the appropriate level, so that they can later enter into a joint mentoring program with CNMI and become internationally successful, thus further strengthening the image of Hungary’s outstanding creativity,” she added.
