According to MTI, the Hungarian-owned MouldTech Systems Kft. invested more than HUF 4.4 billion to react quickly in the event of another healthcare product shortage, Minister of Finance Mihály Varga said in a video message.
The government supported the tool manufacturing company’s investment in Zalaegerszeg with more than HUF 3.5 billion, he said, adding that Hungary must be able to produce enough equipment to protect itself in the case of another epidemic.
“We have found a partner who can produce devices at a world-class level. This is what the Health Industry Support Program is about,” Varga said.
A total of 83 investments in healthcare are being implemented for HUF 86 billion, with HUF 66 billion of government support. Of these, 41 have already been completed and the number of jobs protected now exceeds 5,700, the finance minister said.
