Starting a successful business is a difficult task for anyone, but some start out with even greater disadvantages, such as women or minorities, who have more limited access to capital, mentoring, talent, and networking opportunities.
Google for Startups is designed to give startups the opportunity and resources they need to break out. Google has therefore announced three new programs that will contribute to the development of Israeli and European startups, including Hungarian ones, by providing them with access to Google products and experts and connecting them with venture capital and investor networks.
Two of the three programs specifically target underrepresented groups:
- A program for minority founders in Europe and Israel will connect 10 startups with Google’s experts and investor network.
- A program for female founders is open to 12 female applicants who will have dedicated access to Google Advisor and weekly workshops and skills-development sessions for 12 weeks.
- The Google for Startups Accelerator program will embrace European and Israeli startups creating a technology solution to meet the challenges of our time. Participants will receive three months of intensive online support from Google, including workshops and mentoring sessions with Google engineers and external experts.
