The campsite opened after eight months of complete renovation, according to the operator Büki Gyógyfürdő Zrt.
There are now 154 smaller and larger pitches for guests, and the camping is now rated four stars. Campers also have more convenient and upgraded connections to water and electricity.
The campsite has 9,000 square meters of renewed lawn, 59 deciduous trees, 16,000 perennials and 22,000 shrubs. Also for comfort, the winter bathrooms have been renovated.
The campsite development will continue with the renovation of the back part of the campsite; this will include a barbecue area, playground and dog run, expected to be ready for visitors in mid-July.
The development of the accommodation facilities of the Bükk Spa and the ongoing kitchen construction are part of the Bükfürdő 2021 program. The more than HUF 3 billion program also includes the relocation of the district’s sewage treatment plant and the construction and operation of Bükfürdő’s new leisure attraction Funcity by a private investor.
