The numbers speak for themselves. We are seeing record investments, Minister of Finance Varga said in his latest video message. In the second quarter of 2021, developments worth more than HUF 2.7 trillion were implemented in Hungary, which means an increase of 10.8 percent year-over-year.
An increase of 3.6 percent was also recorded compared to the first quarter of 2021, as a result of which the volume of investments rose to an unprecedented height, Varga said.
The investment rate could be around 27.5 percent, and we can already see the results of supportive fiscal policy, he added.
Mihály Varga also said that the government will continue to restart the economy in the future, with the goal being to maintain the Hungarian economy’s leading edge and strong position in EU rankings.
