The Flower Carnival will run from August 15-22, with several popular programs:
- “Dancing in the City” – Dance performances will take place with the participation of local ensembles.
- “Classics Night” concert – The Kodály Philharmonic Debrecen will perform Beethoven’s 9th Symphony at Kossuth Square.
- “Nights of Lights” – An internationally recognized creative group will create contemporary light art shows throughout the city.
The flower-covered cars will be on display for free viewing at St. Pope John Paul Square and in the Great Forest.
The Great Forest will also become a cultural venue during the summer of 2020, with many gastronomic and other experiences to enjoy, including Wine and Jazz Days, Czech Beer Garden, Debrecen Picnic and Debrecziner Gourmet Festival.
Between July 19 and September 15, 20 productions will be held at the Great Forest Open-Air Theatre. These will include the Zsigmond Móricz Theater from Nyíregyháza performing a musical in the spirit of the #metoo campaign.
