More than HUF 350 million will be used to develop fishing tourism in Tiszaroff, Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County. Funding comes from domestic sources via a grant from the Ministry of the Interior, and construction is expected to take place between early summer and the end of the year.
With more and more anglers coming to Lake Tisza every year, one of the most popular destinations is Tiszaroff. The village is one of Hungary’s well-known places for spin fishing.
Last year, the Hungarian National Fishermen’s Association hosted the national qualifying round for the European Championship there.
The mayor has indicated that plans are complete, permits have been acquired, and those in charge are confident that utility companies should be helpful as deadlines need to be met.
An old property will be redeveloped into a tourist visitor center, and there will be a new building for events and boat storage, with apartments on the top.
