Poet Árpád Kollár, author of several children’s books, wrote the touching Advent story in which author Ervin Lázár’s characters come to life. Visitors can again meet several famous fairy tale characters. The protagonist of this multi-generational tale is Zoard the Great, a pine tree who found a home in the Round Forest of the Square Pine. The inhabitants of the Forest decorate him at Christmas time, but Ervin Lázár did not tell his readers more about the tradition. On the 85th anniversary of the famous fairy tale writer’s birth, the exhibition sheds light on this mystery.
Eszter Győri’s colorful, vivid illustrations help to bring our childhood friends to life.
The free open-air exhibition can be seen until January 15, 2022.
Other Christmas programs at the Castle Garden Bazaar (Várkert Bazár) continue until the end of December. In addition to the family programs and Advent concerts, there will be a festive literary evening, followed by a year-end concert and a New Year’s Eve party. See the full program here.
