Equestrian tourism network developed in Northern Hungary and the Northern Great Plain

According to the Hungarian Equestrian Tourism Association (Magyar Lovas Turisztikai Közhasznú Egyesület), the development was realized with HUF 700 million from EU funding.

More than 1,800 kilometers of routes accessible on horseback have been created with the support of the Economic Development and Innovation Operational Program (Ginop), along which 31 horse tourism stops have been set up to welcome and serve hikers and their horses.

In addition to the professional training of service providers, a uniform range of services with the same thematic and quality standards has been developed, and a tourist portal and route management application are available to assist users in their horseback riding.

The possibility of joining the national network of equestrian tourism backbones is open to all tourism operators, they point out.

Details of the unique active tourism attraction implemented by the association will soon be available on their website.
