Levente Magyar, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, said that the government had supported the investment for the production of technical textiles with EUR 800,000, more than a quarter of a billion forints. The total investment, to be completed next summer, is worth some HUF 575 million.
The state secretary added that it is important that the area does not expect economic growth and security from Budapest, and especially never from foreign investors, as the county has excellent natural and agricultural conditions and is home to dedicated workers. All of these factors mean that Békés County could be one of the winners of the future, and the government will help it achieve this.
The government is working to further develop the county’s infrastructure, including a new airport in Békéscsaba to bring cross-border investors to the region and increase its economic performance.
Béla Csipai, one of the managers of Mamutec Hungary Kft., said that the new factory hall will consist of a production line and a warehouse. The new plant will produce braided and twisted ropes, and 99 percent of its products will be exported to its parent company in Switzerland and to chain stores in Germany, France and Belgium.
The investment has created an additional 15 jobs.
