As part of the economic restart action plan, the government decided to increase the budget by HUF 20 billion to support companies’ environmentally friendly investments.
Minister of Finance Mihály Varga said that the budget for SMEs to make energy-efficient investments will increase to nearly HUF 50 billion.
Varga also indicated that in the first round of the tender, more than 1,800 companies received nearly HUF 28 billion in development funding. Thanks to the current increase, another 2,000 companies will now be able to receive support.
Businesses can receive a minimum of HUF 1.6 million and up to hundreds of millions of forints in development funds. They can use the money to install a solar system, modernize the heating and thermal insulation of their premises or replace the windows and doors of their buildings.
During the relaunch of the economy, special attention will be given to environmentally friendly technologies, which can reduce the costs of businesses and help the sustainable growth of the Hungarian economy.
