Bicycle path between Villány and Villánykövesd
A cycle path is being built with more than HUF 260 million of development funds.
The development, which is already underway, will help people living in the villages affected by the cycle path to get to work and will also serve tourism purposes. It will be financed by the two municipalities in the famous wine region from HUF 264 million awarded under the Operational Programme for Regional and Local Development (TOP).
As part of the project, which will be completed by January 31, 2023, a three-kilometer-long cycle path will be built, partly protected from road traffic. A parking area for wheelchairs will also be built at the Villány railway station, while street lighting will be improved along the route to protect cyclists.
