Bence Dalnoki won the Hungarian final of the Bocuse d’Or

Bence Dalnoki is the sous chef of the Michelin-starred Stand Restaurant, who started his training with Szabina Szulló and Tamás Széll.

According to the Hungarian Bocuse d’Or Academy, four chefs competed: Bence Dalnoki, Tibor Huszár (creative chef at Kakukk Restaurant in Nyírbátor), Roland Kelemen (Hunguest Hotel Aqua-Sol in Hajdúszoboszló) and Balázs Adamek (Diófa Restaurant in Székesfehérvár).

Bence Dalnoki, sous chef of the Michelin-starred Stand Restaurant and his commis Patrik Nyikos won the Hungarian final of the Bocuse d’Or international cooking competition, so they will be representing the country in the European final, which will also be held in Budapest in March 2022.

The best team award was also given to Bence Dalnoki and Patrik Nyikos, and Bence Dalnoki won the special award of the media jury as well. The best assistant chef was Fodor Noel.

For the first time, the Hungarian Bocuse d’Or Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Award was also presented to Lajos Bíró.

At the final held at Hungexpo, the competitors had to prepare two dishes: a fish dish and a meat dish.
