Minister of Agriculture István Nagy has announced funding of HUF 1.8 billion to support winemakers at the Balatonfüred Wine Weeks event.
Nagy further explained that winemakers could apply for the funding from the HUF 25 billion rescue package allocated from Hungary’s economic protection fund to alleviate the consequences of the coronavirus epidemic.
The minister also reported that HUF 4.8 billion is earmarked for quality wine marketing to help Hungarians learn more about high-quality Hungarian wines.
Applications for funding can be submitted starting on August 10.
