Sustainability, always front and center at Budapest Design Week, is now an unavoidable topic for all segments of the economy.
Designers and design play a key role in the circular economy, emphasized Judit Osvárt, the manager of Budapest Design Week.
Applicants are not obliged to address the topic of the circular economy, as the primary goal of Design Week remains to raise awareness of Hungarian small and medium-sized enterprises in the field.
Due to the coronavirus, this year’s event is being organized as a hybrid festival, with a majority of programs taking place exclusively online.
The National Office of Intellectual Property is acting as the financial backer of the event, while the organizer is the Hungarian Design Council.
Those interested can apply for the Budapest Design Week until August 17 here.
Budapest Design Week will be held October 1-11.
