The classical music talent show Virtuosos began six years ago with an important mission: to prove that classical music is not an outdated genre but a branch of art that has remained popular for centuries despite being continuously nourished by the oldest musical roots.
The show aims to discover young talent and give them opportunities few would normally have access to.
Already an internationally known and recognized TV show, Virtuosos will now cross the country’s borders and present not only the talented youth of Hungary but also those of the Visegrad Four (Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic) and Serbia.
The talent show will air on television channels in all five countries.
The large-scale program is supported by the Hungarian Government and the Ministry of Human Resources with the aim of promoting the classical musical diversity of the participating countries as well as the common, cross-border culture of Central Europe.
By broadcasting the “Virtuosos V4 + – We play the same language” talent show in five countries, Hungary’s musical traditions, sights and significant music venues will be seen and enjoyed by some 70 million people in the region.
