Seven Hungarian companies made it onto the FT 1000, Financial Times’ annual list of the 1,000 fastest growing companies in Europe. The well-known Nanushka and Tresorit are among those listed, as seen below.
FT works with Statista to research those European companies that achieved the highest compound annual growth rate in revenue between 2015 and 2018.
Sustainable fashion house Nanushka was just featured in Forbes last November and opened a 3,300-square-foot store in New York last year as well. Founded back in 2006, the company is now on the FT list with revenue CAGR of 72.7 percent between 2015 and 2018.
The startup Tresorit, an online cloud storage service that specializes in secure hosting, data encryption and file sharing, achieved a growth rate of 96.4 percent. Co-founder Istvan Lam made it onto Forbes’ 2016 “30 Under 30” list for Europe, and the company was a finalist at the 2017 Cybersecurity Excellence Awards for Encryption.
First place on the FT 1000 went to the British FinTech company, OakNorth Bank, which saw a revenue CAGR of 621.5 percent between 2015 and 2018. Finland’s Wolt Enterprises (online food-delivery platform) came in second place, while Estonia’s Bolt Technology came in third. The full list can be seen here.
