A 27-member professional jury chose 61 out of 99 projects received to move on to the second round in Hungary’s youth talent competition in the arena of science and innovation. A total of 95 young Hungarian students, including 10 cross-border Hungarian students, entered the competition to compete for more than HUF 2.5 million in scholarships; most projects focused on solving IT and technical problems.
In late April, the jury will decide on how the scholarship money will be distributed as well as select three projects to represent Hungary in the European final that will take place in Spain in September.
The competition was organized by the Hungarian Association for Innovation, the Ministry of Innovation and Technology (ITM), the Ministry of Human Resources (EMMI) and channel M5. Funding has been provided by the NKFI Fund with the support of the National Office for Research, Development and Innovation.
