32 Hungarian companies participate in Europe’s largest food exhibition
Around 85 percent of exhibitors from 119 countries are coming to the event, which will focus on food industry developments over five days.
The Hungarian Food Business Program will present 32 Hungarian companies at Europe’s largest food exhibition in Paris, at the joint stand organized by the Agricultural Marketing Center (AMC).
The SIAL Paris (Salon international de l’alimentation) can be a breakout point for participating Hungarian food producers and plays an important role in establishing foreign trade contacts.
The meeting will help to reach not only the French but also the global market.
Visitors can register on the spot for the Hungarian Food Business Catalog software, which features almost 1,700 products from 150 Hungarian producers.
At the opening of the Hungarian stand, Beáta Felkai, deputy state secretary for food chain supervision at the Ministry of Agriculture (AM), stressed that Hungarian food industry players are innovative, but many are unaware of this.
Péter Ondré, CEO of AMC, said that Hungarian products have to find their place in the world because exports can be the real breakthrough for the domestic food industry. The agricultural subsidies in the coming years represent a historic opportunity, and SIAL Paris is a great opportunity to build relationships, he added.
